اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ وَ مَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً قَالَ الْإِسْلَامُ وَ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقى قَالَ هِيَ الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ . وَ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقى قَالَ هِيَ الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، اور محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد سے — سب نے ابن محبوب سے، عبداللہ بن سنان سے — ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں: 'اللہ کی رنگائی، اور اللہ سے بہتر رنگ دینے والا کون ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'وہ اسلام ہے۔' اور انہوں نے اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں فرمایا: 'اس نے مضبوط ترین کڑے کو پکڑ لیا،' آپ نے فرمایا: 'یہ اللہ پر ایمان ہے، تنہا، جس کا کوئی شریک نہیں۔'
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, altogether from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h138"><a href="/books/quran:2#h138">[2:138]</a></a> A Dyeing of Allah, and who is better than Allah in dyeing?</span> He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Al-<span class="iTxt">Islām</span>’. And he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic <span class="iTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h256"><a href="/books/quran:2#h256">[2:256]</a></a> </span><span class="ibTxt">he indeed has grabbed hold on the Firmest Handle</span>, he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘It is the <span class="iTxt">Emān (belief)</span> in Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Alone, there being no associates for Him<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>’.
