سُئِلَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) أَ يَجُوزُ أَنْ يُقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَيْءٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ يُخْرِجُهُ مِنَ الْحَدَّيْنِ حَدِّ التَّعْطِيلِ وَ حَدِّ التَّشْبِيهِ .

ہمارے کچھ اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد بن خالد سے، انہوں نے محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے جس نے یہ ذکر کیا اس سے روایت کی کہ: ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے پوچھا گیا: 'کیا یہ جائز ہے کہ کہا جائے کہ اللہ ایک شے ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'ہاں — یہ اسے دو حدود سے نکالتا ہے: تعطیل کی حد اور تشبیہ کی حد۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from the one who mentioned it, said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> was asked, ‘Is it allowed for it to be said that Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is a thing?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, taking Him<sup>azwj</sup> out from two limitations – the limitation of the temporariness and the limitation of the resemblance’.
