قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الرَّجُلَ كَثِيرَ الصَّلَاةِ كَثِيرَ الصِّيَامِ فَلَا تُبَاهُوا بِهِ حَتَّى تَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ عَقْلُهُ .

ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے کسی ایسے شخص سے جس نے اسے مرفوع کیا، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'جب تم کسی آدمی کو کثرتِ نماز اور کثرتِ روزے والا پاؤ تو اس پر فخر نہ کرو یہاں تک کہ دیکھ لو کہ اس کی عقل کیسی ہے۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from someone who raised it, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Whenever you see the man as being of abundant in <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, abundant in Fasts, so do not be boasting with him until you look at how (good) his intellect is’’.
