قَالَ لِي أَ لَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ لَمْ يَسْتَثْنِ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قُلْتُ بَلَى قَالَ الدُّعَاءُ يَرُدُّ الْقَضَاءَ وَ قَدْ أُبْرِمَ إِبْرَاماً وَ ضَمَّ أَصَابِعَهُ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے حماد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے حریز سے، انہوں نے زرارہ سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: آپ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: 'کیا میں تجھے ایسی چیز کی طرف رہنمائی نہ کروں جس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے کوئی استثناء نہیں کیا؟' میں نے کہا: 'ہاں۔' آپ نے فرمایا: 'دعا قضاء کو پھیر دیتی ہے، اگرچہ اسے خوب مضبوطی سے مضبوط کر دیا گیا ہو۔' اور آپ نے اپنی انگلیاں بند کر لیں۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Hareyz, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘He<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Shall I<sup>asws</sup> point you to something which Rasool-Allah<sup>azwj</sup> did not make an exclusion in it?’ I said, ‘Yes’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘A supplication repels the Ordainment and although it has been strengthened with a strengthening’, and he<sup>asws</sup> clasped his<sup>asws</sup> fingers’ (to demonstrate it).
