John Shaqi

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَنْ قَرَأَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حِينَ يَأْخُذُ مَضْجَعَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا عَمِلَ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ خَمْسِينَ عَاماً وَ قَالَ يَحْيَى فَسَأَلْتُ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَصِيرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ وَ قَالَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ أَمَا إِنَّكَ إِنْ جَرَّبْتَهُ وَجَدْتَهُ سَدِيداً .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Khalid and Al Husayn Bin Saeed, altogether from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Yahya Al Halby, from Abu Asama who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘The one who recites (the Chapter) <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:112#h1"><a href="/books/quran:112#h1">[112:1]</a></a></span> <span class="ibTxt">Say: He, Allah, is One</span>, one hundred times when he takes to his bed, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Forgive for him whatever he had done fifty years before that’. And Yahya (the second narrator) said, ‘So I asked Sama’at (a narrator), about that, so he said, ‘Abu Baseer (a narrator) narrated to me saying, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> saying that, and he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘O Abu Muhammad! But, if you were to try it out, you would find it to be always correct’.
