سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَ الْأَرْضُ وَسِعْنَ الْكُرْسِيَّ أَمِ الْكُرْسِيُّ وَسِعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ فَقَالَ بَلِ الْكُرْسِيُّ وَسِعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضَ وَ الْعَرْشُ وَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وَسِعَ الْكُرْسِيُّ .

میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ جل و عز کے قول 'اس کی کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین کو محیط ہے' [2:255] کے بارے میں پوچھا — کیا آسمان اور زمین کرسی کو محیط ہیں یا کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین کو؟ آپ نے فرمایا: بلکہ کرسی آسمانوں اور زمین کو محیط ہے، اور عرش اور ہر چیز کو — کرسی سب کو محیط ہے۔
Translation
Muhamad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad in Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Hajjal, from Sa’alba Bin Maymoun, from Zurara Bin Ayn who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Majestic and Mighty <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h255"><a href="/books/quran:2#h255">[2:255]</a></a> His Chair extends over the skies and the earth</span>, ‘Are the skies and the earth more extensive than the Chair (الْكُرْسِيِّ) or is the Chair (الْكُرْسِيِّ) more extensive than the skies and the earth?’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But, the Chair (الْكُرْسِيِّ) is more extensive than the skies and the earth and the Throne (الْعَرْشُ) and everything. The Chair (الْكُرْسِيِّ) is more extensive’.
