إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ اسْمُهُ وَ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُهُ وَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَقَدَّسَ وَ تَفَرَّدَ وَ تَوَحَّدَ وَ لَمْ يَزَلْ وَ لَا يَزَالُ وَ هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَ الْآخِرُ وَ الظَّاهِرُ وَ الْبَاطِنُ فَلَا أَوَّلَ لِأَوَّلِيَّتِهِ رَفِيعاً فِي أَعْلَى عُلُوِّهِ شَامِخُ الْأَرْكَانِ رَفِيعُ الْبُنْيَانِ عَظِيمُ السُّلْطَانِ مُنِيفُ الْآلَاءِ سَنِيُّ الْعَلْيَاءِ الَّذِي عَجَزَ الْوَاصِفُونَ عَنْ كُنْهِ صِفَتِهِ وَ لَا يُطِيقُونَ حَمْلَ مَعْرِفَةِ إِلَهِيَّتِهِ وَ لَا يَحُدُّونَ حُدُودَهُ لِأَنَّهُ بِالْكَيْفِيَّةِ لَا يُتَنَاهَى إِلَيْهِ .

علی بن محمد نے صالح بن ابی حماد سے، انہوں نے حسین بن یزید سے، انہوں نے حسن بن علی بن ابی حمزہ سے، انہوں نے ابراہیم سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے نقل کیا کہ آپ نے فرمایا: بے شک اللہ — بابرکت ہے اس کا نام، اور بلند ہے اس کا ذکر، اور عظیم ہے اس کی ستائش۔ وہ پاک ہے، قدوس ہے، یکتا ہے، واحد ہے۔ وہ ہمیشہ سے تھا اور ہمیشہ رہے گا۔ اور وہ اول بھی ہے اور آخر بھی، ظاہر بھی ہے اور باطن بھی۔ پس اس کی اولیت کا کوئی اول نہیں۔ وہ اپنی بلندی کے اعلیٰ مقام میں رفیع ہے: ارکان میں بلند، بنیادوں میں اعلیٰ، سلطنت میں عظیم، نعمتوں میں منیف، عظمت میں سنی — جس کی صفت کی کنہ بیان کرنے والے عاجز ہیں، نہ اس کی الوہیت کی معرفت کا بوجھ اٹھا سکتے ہیں، نہ اس کی حدود کو متعین کر سکتے ہیں، کیونکہ کیفیت کے ذریعے اس تک پہنچا نہیں جاسکتا۔
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, from Salih Bin Abu Hammad, from Al Husayn Bin Yazed, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Ibrahim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Blessed is His<sup>azwj</sup> Name, and Exalted is His<sup>azwj</sup> Mention, and Majestic is His<sup>azwj</sup> Laudation. Glorious is He<sup>azwj</sup>, and Holy, and Individual, and Unique, and He<sup>azwj</sup> did not Cease to be and will not Cease to be, and He<sup>azwj</sup> is the First, and the Last, and the Manifest, and the Hidden. So there is no first to His<sup>azwj</sup> being First, Raised in His<sup>azwj</sup> High Loftiness. Lofty of the elements, Raiser of the Structures, Magnificent of the Authority, of High Eminence, Sublime Highness which the describers are unable from describing His<sup>azwj</sup> Essence, nor are they enduring the bearing of recognising His<sup>azwj</sup> God-ness, nor are they reaching its limits, because He<sup>azwj</sup>, by the qualitative states, cannot be reached.
