سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْكُرِّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ كَمْ يَكُونُ قَدْرُهُ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْبَارٍ وَ نِصْفٍ [نِصْفاً] فِي مِثْلِهِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَشْبَارٍ وَ نِصْفٍ فِي عُمْقِهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَذَلِكَ الْكُرُّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ .

میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے کُر پانی کے بارے میں سوال کیا کہ اس کی مقدار کتنی ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: جب پانی ساڑھے تین بالشت لمبائی میں اور اسی طرح ساڑھے تین بالشت چوڑائی میں اور زمین میں ساڑھے تین بالشت گہرائی میں ہو، تو وہ پانی کا کُر ہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Usman Bin Isa, from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the <span class="iTxt">Kurr</span> from the water, ‘How much is its measurement?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘When the water was of three and a half open palm’s width in its length and breadth by three and a half open palm’s width in its depth in the ground, so that is the <span class="iTxt">Kurr</span> from the water’.
