الحسین بن محمد نے معلی بن محمد سے، انہوں نے حسن بن علی الوشاء سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: محمد بن الفضیل نے ہمیں ابو حمزہ سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے مجھ سے فرمایا: اللہ کی عبادت وہی کرتا ہے جو اللہ کو پہچانتا ہے۔ جو اللہ کو نہیں پہچانتا وہ اس طرح اس کی عبادت کرتا ہے — گمراہی میں۔ میں نے عرض کیا: میں آپ پر فدا ہوں، تو اللہ کی معرفت کیا ہے؟ فرمایا: اللہ عزّ وجلّ کی تصدیق، اس کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ کی تصدیق، علی علیہ السلام کی موالات، اور ان کی اور ائمہ ہدی علیہم السلام کی اقتداء، اور ان کے دشمنوں سے اللہ عزّ وجلّ کی طرف برائت۔ اس طرح اللہ عزّ وجلّ کی معرفت حاصل ہوتی ہے۔

Translation

Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Washa who said, ‘Muhammad Bin Al Fuzayl narrated to us, from Abu Hamza who said, ‘Abu Ja’far^asws said to me: ‘But rather, he worships Allah^azwj, the one who recognises Allah^azwj. So, as for the one who does not recognise Allah^azwj, so rather he is worshipping Him^azwj like this, ‘ضَلَالًا’ (under dark covers of kufr) erroneously’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! So what is the recognition of Allah^azwj?’ He^asws said: ‘Ratification of Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic, and ratification of His Rasool^saww, and the Master of the Command Ali^asws, and the following with him^asws and the Imams^asws of the Guidance, and the disavowing to Allah^azwj from their enemies. Like this, Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic is recognised’.
