سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَحْيَا حَيَاتِي وَ يَمُوتَ مِيتَتِي وَ يَدْخُلَ جَنَّةَ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي غَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ رَبِّي بِيَدِهِ فَلْيَتَوَلَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَ لْيَتَوَلَّ وَلِيَّهُ وَ لْيُعَادِ عَدُوَّهُ وَ لْيُسَلِّمْ لِلْأَوْصِيَاءِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِتْرَتِي مِنْ لَحْمِي وَ دَمِي أَعْطَاهُمُ اللَّهُ فَهْمِي وَ عِلْمِي إِلَى اللَّهِ أَشْكُو أَمْرَ أُمَّتِي الْمُنْكِرِينَ لِفَضْلِهِمْ الْقَاطِعِينَ فِيهِمْ صِلَتِي وَ ايْمُ اللَّهِ لَيَقْتُلُنَّ ابْنِي لَا أَنَالَهُمُ اللَّهُ شَفَاعَتِي .

ہمارے کچھ اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد بن عیسی سے، انہوں نے حسین بن سعید سے، انہوں نے فضالہ بن ایوب سے، انہوں نے ابو المغراء سے، انہوں نے محمد بن سالم سے، انہوں نے ابان بن تغلب سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'جو شخص چاہتا ہو کہ میری طرح زندگی گزارے، میری طرح موت پائے، اور اس جنت عدن میں داخل ہو جسے اللہ میرے رب نے اپنے ہاتھ سے لگایا ہے — وہ علی بن ابی طالب کو اپنا ولی بنائے، اس کے دوستوں سے دوستی رکھے، اس کے دشمنوں سے دشمنی رکھے، اور ان کے بعد آنے والے اوصیاء کی اطاعت کرے۔ کیونکہ وہ میری عترت ہیں، میرے گوشت اور خون سے؛ اللہ نے انہیں میری فہم اور میرا علم عطا کیا ہے۔ میں اپنی امت کے اس معاملے کی اللہ سے شکایت کرتا ہوں — جو ان کی فضیلت کا انکار کرتے ہیں، ان میں میرے رشتے کو کاٹتے ہیں۔ اور اللہ کی قسم، وہ میرے بیٹے کو ضرور قتل کریں گے۔ اللہ انہیں میری شفاعت نصیب نہ کرے!'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Abu Al Magra’a, from Muhammad Bin Salim, from Aban Bin Taghlub who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who wants that he should live (like) my<sup>saww</sup> life, and he should be dying (like) my<sup>saww</sup> death, and enter the Garden of Eden which Allah<sup>azwj</sup> my<sup>saww</sup> Lord<sup>azwj</sup> Planted with His<sup>azwj</sup> Own Hands, so let him befriend Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin AbuTalib<sup>asws</sup>, and let him befriend his<sup>asws</sup> friends, and let him be inimical to his<sup>asws</sup> enemies, and let him submit to the successors<sup>asws</sup> (who would come) after him<sup>asws</sup>, for they<sup>asws</sup> are my<sup>saww</sup> family, from my<sup>sa</sup><sup>ww</sup> flesh and my<sup>saww</sup> blood. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Gave them my<sup>saww</sup> understanding and my<sup>saww</sup> knowledge. I<sup>saww</sup> complain to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> of the matter of my<sup>saww</sup> community, the deniers of their<sup>asws</sup> merits, the cutters of my<sup>saww</sup> relationship in them. And I<sup>saww</sup> swear by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, they would be murdering my<sup>saww</sup> (grand) son<sup>asws</sup>. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> will not let them attain my<sup>saww</sup> intercession!’’.
