قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَحْيَا حَيَاتِي وَ يَمُوتَ مِيتَتِي وَ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ الَّتِي وَعَدَنِيهَا رَبِّي وَ يَتَمَسَّكَ بِقَضِيبٍ غَرَسَهُ رَبِّي بِيَدِهِ فَلْيَتَوَلَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ( عليه السلام ) وَ أَوْصِيَاءَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُدْخِلُونَكُمْ فِي بَابِ ضَلَالٍ وَ لَا يُخْرِجُونَكُمْ مِنْ بَابِ هُدًى فَلَا تُعَلِّمُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ مِنْكُمْ وَ إِنِّي سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي أَلَّا يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ بَيْنَ الْكِتَابِ حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ هَكَذَا وَ ضَمَّ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ وَ عَرْضُهُ مَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ إِلَى أَيْلَةَ فِيهِ قُدْحَانُ فِضَّةٍ وَ ذَهَبٍ عَدَدَ النُّجُومِ .

محمد بن یحییٰ، محمد بن الحسین سے، وہ موسیٰ بن سعدان سے، وہ عبداللہ بن القاسم سے، وہ عبد القہار سے، وہ جابر الجعفی سے، وہ ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: 'جو شخص یہ پسند کرتا ہو کہ میری طرح زندگی گزارے، میری طرح مرے، اور اس جنت میں داخل ہو جس کا میرے رب نے مجھ سے وعدہ کیا ہے، اور اس شاخ کو مضبوطی سے پکڑے جو میرے رب نے اپنے ہاتھ سے لگائی — تو اسے چاہیے کہ علی بن ابی طالب علیہ السلام اور ان کے بعد ان کے اوصیاء کو اپنا ولی مانے۔ کیونکہ وہ تمہیں گمراہی کے دروازے میں نہیں لے جائیں گے اور نہ ہدایت کے دروازے سے نکالیں گے۔ پس انہیں سکھانے کی کوشش نہ کرو، کیونکہ وہ تم سے زیادہ علم رکھتے ہیں۔ اور میں نے اپنے رب سے درخواست کی ہے کہ ان کے اور کتاب کے درمیان جدائی نہ ڈالے یہاں تک کہ دونوں میرے پاس حوض پر آ جائیں — اس طرح'، اور انہوں نے اپنی دو انگلیاں ملائیں، 'اور اس کی چوڑائی صنعاء سے ایلہ تک کی مسافت جتنی ہے، اور اس میں ستاروں کی تعداد جتنے چاندی سونے کے پیالے ہیں۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Musa Bin Sa’dan, from Abdullah Bin Al Qasim, from Abdul Qahar, from Jabir Al Ju’fy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who is happy that he should live (like) my<sup>saww</sup> life, and be dying (like) my<sup>saww</sup> death, and enter the Paradise which my<sup>saww</sup> Lord<sup>azwj</sup> has Promised us, and attach himself with a branch which my<sup>azwj</sup> Lord<sup>azwj</sup> Planted with His<sup>azwj</sup> Own Hands, so let him befriend Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Abu Talib<sup>asws</sup> and the successors<sup>asws</sup> from after him<sup>asws</sup>, for they<sup>asws</sup> will not enter you into a door of straying, nor will they exit you from a door of guidance. Therefore, do not try to teach them<sup>asws</sup>, for they<sup>asws</sup> are more knowledgeable than you are, and I<sup>saww</sup> asked my<sup>saww</sup> Lord<sup>azwj</sup> that they<sup>asws</sup> should be no separation between them<sup>asws</sup> and the Book until they<sup>asws</sup> return to me<sup>saww</sup> are the Fountain, like this’, and he<sup>saww</sup> joined between his<sup>saww</sup> fingers, ‘and its width is what is between Sana’a (a city of Yemen) up to Ayla (a place between Makkah and Al-Medina), therein are cups of silver and gold of the number of the stars’.
