احمد بن ادریس اور دوسرے، محمد بن احمد سے، وہ ابراہیم بن محمد سے، وہ محمد بن حفص سے، وہ صباح الحذاء سے، وہ قثم سے، وہ ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ان سے کہا، 'میں آپ پر قربان جاؤں! مجھے زکوٰة کے بارے میں بتائیں — یہ ہر ہزار میں سے پچیس کیسے ہوئی، نہ کم نہ زیادہ؟ اس کی کیا وجہ ہے؟' تو انہوں نے فرمایا: 'بے شک اللہ عزوجل نے تمام مخلوق کو پیدا کیا اور ان کے چھوٹے بڑے اور امیر غریب سب کو جانا۔ پس اس نے ہر ہزار انسانوں میں پچیس مسکین رکھے۔ اور اگر وہ جانتا کہ یہ ان کے لیے کافی نہیں، تو وہ ان کے لیے بڑھا دیتا، کیونکہ وہ ان کا خالق ہے اور وہ ان کا سب سے زیادہ جاننے والا ہے۔'

Translation

Ahmad Bin Idrees and someone else, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad, from Muhammd Bin Hafs, from Sabbah Al haza’a, from Qusam, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, said, ‘I said to him^asws, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! Inform me about the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>, ‘How did it come to be twenty five from every thousand, not happening to be less or more, what is its cause?’ So he^asws said: ‘Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic Created the creatures, all of them, so He^azwj Knows their young ones and their old ones, and their rich ones and their poor ones. Therefore, He^azwj Made twenty five human beings out of a thousand as poor, and had He^azwj Known that, that would be insufficient for them, He^azwj would have Increased (the proportion) for them, because He^azwj Created them, and He^azwj is more Knowing of them’.
