ا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ الزَّكَاةَ مَعَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَ سَنَّهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فِي تِسْعَةِ أَشْيَاءَ وَ عَفَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ عَمَّا سِوَاهُنَّ فِي الذَّهَبِ وَ الْفِضَّةِ وَ الْإِبِلِ وَ الْبَقَرِ وَ الْغَنَمِ وَ الْحِنْطَةِ وَ الشَّعِيرِ وَ التَّمْرِ وَ الزَّبِيبِ وَ عَفَا عَمَّا سِوَى ذَلِكَ .

علی ابن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے حماد سے، انہوں نے حریز سے، انہوں نے زرارہ اور محمد بن مسلم اور ابی بصیر اور بُریدِ بن معاویہ العجلی اور فضیل بن یسار سے روایت کی، ابو جعفر اور ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے، انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ نے زکوٰة کو مال میں نماز کے ساتھ فرض کیا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے اسے نو چیزوں میں سنت قرار دیا، اور رسول اللہ نے ان کے علاوہ سے معاف فرمایا — سونے، چاندی، اونٹ، گائے، بھیڑ بکری، گندم، جَو، کھجور اور کشمش میں — اور اس کے علاوہ سے معاف فرمایا۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad, from Hareyz, from Zurara and Muhammad Bin Muslim and Abu Baseer and Bureyd Bin Muawiya Al Ijaly, and Fuzayl Bin Yasaar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> and Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> both having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Imposed the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> in the wealth along with the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, and Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> made it a Sunnah in nine things and Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> excused it from whatever was besides these – in the gold, and the silver, and the camels, and the cows, and the sheep, and the wheat, and the barley, and the dates, and the raisins, and excused from whatever was besides that’.
