سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الصِّيَامِ فِي الشَّهْرِ كَيْفَ هُوَ قَالَ ثَلَاثٌ فِي الشَّهْرِ فِي كُلِّ عَشْرٍ يَوْمٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ مَنْ جاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثالِها ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ فِي الشَّهْرِ صَوْمُ الدَّهْرِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr who said, ‘I asked Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> about the Fasts during the month, how are these (to be done)?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Three during the month, in every ten days. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High is Saying <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:6#h160"><a href="/books/quran:6#h160">[6:160]</a></a> Whoever comes with a good deed, he shall have ten like it</span> – three days during the month is Fasting for the whole time’.
