لَا تَجْتَمِعُ الْإِمَامَةُ فِي أَخَوَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْنِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ فِي الْأَعْقَابِ وَ أَعْقَابِ الْأَعْقَابِ .

محمد بن یحیی، محمد بن الحسین سے، وہ عبد الرحمن بن ابی نجران سے، وہ سلیمان بن جعفر الجعفری سے، وہ حماد بن عیسیٰ سے، وہ ابی عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: حسن اور حسین کے بعد دو بھائیوں میں امامت جمع نہیں ہوتی۔ بلکہ یہ اولاد میں اور اولاد کی اولاد میں ہوتی ہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Najran, from Suleyman Bin Ja’far Al Ja’fary, from Hammad Bin Isa, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The Imamate will not gather to be in two brothers after Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> and Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>. But rather, it would be in the descendants and descendants of the descendants’.
