إِنَّ ابْنِي عَلِيّاً أَكْبَرُ وُلْدِي وَ أَبَرُّهُمْ عِنْدِي وَ أَحَبُّهُمْ إِلَيَّ وَ هُوَ يَنْظُرُ مَعِي فِي الْجَفْرِ وَ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ فِيهِ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ وَصِيُّ نَبِيٍّ .

ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے، احمد بن محمد سے، وہ معاویہ بن حکیم سے، وہ نعیم القابوسی سے، وہ ابو الحسن علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک میرا بیٹا علی میرے بچوں میں سب سے بڑا، میرے نزدیک ان میں سب سے زیادہ فرمانبردار، اور مجھ سے سب سے زیادہ محبوب ہے؛ اور وہ میرے ساتھ الجفر میں نظر کرتا ہے، اور اس میں کسی نے نہیں دیکھا مگر نبی یا نبی کا وصی۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muawiya Bin Hukeym, from Nuaym Al Qabousy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> that he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘My<sup>asws</sup> son<sup>asws</sup> Ali<sup>asws</sup> is the eldest of my<sup>asws</sup> children, and the more righteous of them in my<sup>asws</sup> presence, and the most beloved of them to me<sup>asws</sup>, and he<sup>asws</sup> looks into Al-Jaf’r with me<sup>asws</sup>, and none looks into it except for a Prophet<sup>as</sup> or a successor<sup>as</sup> of a Prophet<sup>as</sup>’.
