جِئْتُ إِلَى أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ ( عليه السلام ) بِمَالٍ فَأَخَذَ بَعْضَهُ وَ تَرَكَ بَعْضَهُ فَقُلْتُ أَصْلَحَكَ اللَّهُ لِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ تَرَكْتَهُ عِنْدِي قَالَ إِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذَا الْأَمْرِ يَطْلُبُهُ مِنْكَ فَلَمَّا جَاءَنَا نَعْيُهُ بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) ابْنُهُ فَسَأَلَنِي ذَلِكَ الْمَالَ فَدَفَعْتُهُ إِلَيْهِ .

احمد بن مہران، محمد بن علی سے، الضحاک بن الاشعث سے، داؤد بن زربی سے، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں کچھ مال لے کر ابو ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے پاس آیا، تو انہوں نے اس میں سے کچھ لے لیا اور کچھ چھوڑ دیا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ آپ کو درست رکھے، آپ نے اسے میرے پاس کس وجہ سے چھوڑ دیا؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک اس امر کا صاحب تم سے اسے طلب کرے گا۔ پھر جب ان کی وفات کی خبر ہم تک پہنچی تو ابو الحسن علیہ السلام، ان کے بیٹے، نے مجھے پیغام بھیجا اور مجھ سے وہ مال طلب کیا، تو میں نے اسے ان کے حوالے کر دیا۔
Translation
Ahmad Bin Mihran, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Al Zahhak Bin Al Ash’as Bin Al Ash’ab, from Dawood Bin Zurby who said, ‘I went over to Abu Ibrahim<sup>asws</sup> with some wealth, so he<sup>asws</sup> took part of it and left part. So I said, ‘May Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Keep you<sup>asws</sup> well! For which thing (reason) did you<sup>asws</sup> leave it to be with me?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Master of this command (Imamate), would seek it from you<sup>asws</sup>’. So when his<sup>asws</sup> Obituary came to us, Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>, his<sup>asws</sup> son<sup>asws</sup> sent a message to me, asking me for that wealth. So I handed it over to him<sup>asws</sup>’.
