قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا كَانَ مِنْ شَرْطٍ قَبْلَ النِّكَاحِ هَدَمَهُ النِّكَاحُ وَ مَا كَانَ بَعْدَ النِّكَاحِ فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ وَ قَالَ إِنْ سُمِّيَ الْأَجَلُ فَهُوَ مُتْعَةٌ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يُسَمَّ الْأَجَلُ فَهُوَ نِكَاحٌ بَاتٌّ.
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abdullah Bin Bukeyr who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Whatever was from a stipulation before the marriage, the marriage demolished it and whatever was after the marriage, so it is allowed’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If the term is specified, so it is <span class="iTxt">Mut’a</span>, and if the term is not specified, so it is a lasting marriage’.
