رِوَايَةِ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ آلَى مِنِ اِمْرَأَتِهِ، فَمَرَّتْ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ قَالَ "يُوقَفُ فَإِنْ عَزَمَ اَلطَّلاَقَ بَانَتْ مِنْهُ وَ عَلَيْهَا عِدَّةُ اَلْمُطَلَّقَةِ وَ إِلاَّ كَفَّرَ يَمِينَهُ وَ أَمْسَكَهَا".

اور ابان ابن عثمان کی روایت میں، منصور سے، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں پوچھا جس نے اپنی بیوی سے الٰہ کا عہد کیا، اور پھر چار ماہ گزر گئے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: "اسے روکا جائے؛ اگر وہ طلاق کا ارادہ کرے تو وہ اس سے جدا ہو جائے گی، اور اس پر طلاق یافتہ عورت کی عدت لازم ہوگی۔ ورنہ اسے اپنی قسم کا کفارہ ادا کرنا ہوگا اور اسے روکنا ہوگا۔"
Translation
Hadith.4825 - In the narration of Aban ibn Uthman from Mansur, he said: I asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who swears an oath (ilaʾ) against his wife, and four months pass. Imam (as) said: "He is to be brought forward. If he decides on divorce, she is separated from him, and she must observe the waiting period (iddah) of a divorced woman. But if he does not divorce her, he must offer expiation for his oath and continue the marriage."
