"إِنْ تَابَ فَمَا عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَ إِنْ وَقَعَ فِي يَدِ اَلْإِمَامِ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ أَقَامَ عَلَيْهِ اَلْحَدَّ وَ إِنْ عَلِمَ مَكَانَهُ بَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ ".

ابو بصیر نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی: اس سے ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا جس کے خلاف واضح ثبوت موجود تھا کہ اس نے زنا کیا ہے اور پھر وہ فرار ہو گیا۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: "اگر وہ توبہ کر لے تو اس پر کوئی گناہ نہیں۔ لیکن اگر امام کے ہاتھ لگ جائے تو اس پر حد نافذ کی جاتی ہے۔ اور اگر اس کا مقام معلوم ہو تو اسے بھیجا جاتا ہے۔"
Translation
Hadith.5026 - Abu Basir narrated from Imam Abu Abdullah (as) that he was asked about a man against whom evidence was established that he had committed adultery, but then he escaped. Imam (as) replied: "If he repents, then there is nothing upon him. However, if he is caught by the Imam before his repentance, the prescribed punishment (Hadd) will be carried out upon him. And if the Imam knows his whereabouts, he should send someone to bring him."
