رِوَايَةِ زِيَادِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ اَلْقَنْدِيِّ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: "لاَ يُقْطَعُ اَلسَّارِقُ فِي سَنَةِ اَلْمَحْقِ فِي شَيْءٍ يُؤْكَلُ مِثْلِ اَلْخُبْزِ وَ اَللَّحْمِ وَ اَلْقِثَّاءِ".

5144 - اور زیاد بن مروان القندی کی روایت میں، ایک شخص سے جو انہوں نے ذکر کیا، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: چور کو قحط کے سال میں ایسی چیز چوری کرنے پر ہاتھ نہیں کاٹا جاتا جو کھانے کے قابل ہو، جیسے کہ روٹی، گوشت، اور کھیرے۔
Translation
Hadith.5144 - In the narration of Ziyad ibn Marwan Al-Qandi from someone who reported from Abu Abdullah (as), he said: "The hand of a thief is not to be cut off during a year of famine for stealing anything edible, such as bread, meat, or cucumbers."
